The Story Behind Wasatch Gallery
Some names are invented. Others are discovered.
For Erin, Wasatch Gallery was born from a lifetime spent beneath the mountains of Utah.
She grew up in Orem under the enormous presence of Mount Timpanogos, a mountain that filled the view from her family’s back windows and became part of the rhythm of daily life. Her family loved it. They watched the snow gather on its ridges, storms move across its face, and the evening light transform it into shades of blue, violet, and gold.
Later, when Erin attended the University of Utah and began living in the Salt Lake Valley, another mountain captured her heart: Mount Olympus. Its bold, unmistakable form rose above the valley, and Erin became so attached to it that when she eventually moved to Holladay, the view energized and invigorated her.
The mountains had become markers of different chapters in her life.
Then came another move, this time to Sandy, and another mountain impacted her story.
Lone Peak.
But this chapter was different.
Lone Peak came into view alongside a new marriage and a new home. It became the mountain of love, gratitude, and renewal. Each day its appearance changes with the weather and the light, and it reminds her how fortunate she feels to live in the Salt Lake Valley, surrounded by a landscape that continually lifts her spirit.
That feeling is at the heart of Wasatch Gallery.
The gallery’s logo tells the same story. Three mountain peaks rise together to create the shape of a W, representing the three iconic peaks of the Wasatch front that have elevated Erin’s life.
But there is another meaning hidden in the design.
Every line rises.
Every peak points upward, expressing the gallery's philosophy in three simple words: Art That Elevates.
The Wasatch Mountains elevate the landscape around them, but great art can elevate our lives in much the same way. A painting can transform a room. It can bring back a memory. It can remind us of a trail, a canyon, a mountain, or a place we once called home. It can help us see familiar landscapes with new eyes.
That is the purpose of Wasatch Gallery. To discover and celebrate artists who understand this remarkable region and have the ability to capture its spirit. To give those artists a platform where their work can be seen, collected, and appreciated. And to connect their paintings with people who feel the same deep connection to the mountains, valleys, and landscapes of the West.
Because the Wasatch Front deserves artists who paint it beautifully and those artists deserve to be seen. Wasatch Gallery is where those two worlds meet. A place where an artist’s devotion to a mountain can become part of someone else’s home. Where the landscape outside our windows becomes the artwork inside them.
Where Timpanogos, Olympus, and Lone Peak become more than mountains. They become memory, identity, inspiration, and the three rising lines of a W.
